Job Description

Wanted (this is a direct advert by the school, FSES): Established Independent School approx. 30 minutes from central Seoul seeks an experienced native English teacher. FSES is looking for a motivated native English teacher to start in early February 2018. Teachers with at least a year of experiences having taught English in Korea are preferred. Some of the benefits of working for our school include:

Location – Yangpyeong is located in Gyeonggi Do, only 30 minutes from central Seoul by train but with excellent access to quiet countryside areas. The town is located on the banks of the South Han River, with two attractive riverside parks and all the amenities one may expect from a mid-sized town. Besides the Korail train service, it is also on the Gyeongeui-Joongang subway line.

Housing – We will provide modern up-to-date housing.

Management – The school owners are both American (Korean American) and Korean. They favor a hands-off management style, but are always available to assist teachers if needed.

Students – We teach students of all ages, from kindergarten to adults. Our class sizes are small – a maximum of 10 but some are smaller than that. Our teachers see the same students at the same times every day, Monday to Friday, allowing them to make a lot of progress together in a short time.

Curriculum – We use internationally produced textbooks but teachers have a lot of freedom to teach the material however they want. There is space within the curriculum for teachers to implement their own ideas.

Team – We are a small school, with a tight knit team who maintains a close a supportive working relationship.

Hours and conditions – We work Monday to Friday, 10AM to 7PM, which includes preparation time. There is no weekend work and no split shifts. Our salary is competitive and negotiable.

More information about our school can be found at: www.fses.co We can be contacted by email (fseschool773@gmail.com) or by phone (031 773 7776). We are willing to put an applicant in contact with previous teachers if they have any specific questions about working conditions.

If you are interested in applying for the position, please send your resume to: fseschool773@gmail.com
