YBM Head Office Job Opening
We are currently looking for qualified and passionate candidates to work in the R&D department at the corporate headquarters for YBM ECC in Seoul!
Job Type: Curriculum Developer and Teacher Trainer, Head Office R&D
Working Hours: 9:00 AM ~ 6:00 PM
Hybrid in-office/telecommuting schedule. Employee will spend certain days of the week at the head office in Jongno-gu and spend the remaining days of the week at home working remotely on a work-use computer offered by YBM. Exact schedule is variable and to be determined upon hiring.
Starting Date: July-August 2022 (flexible)
Location: Jongro in Seoul, Korea
Salary: 2.7 base, negotiable based on experience
Housing: No housing is provided in this contract
Vacation: 11 days + Korean National Holidays
Duties:
- Creating, editing, and proofreading education materials for kindergarten, elementary, and middle school curriculum for YBM ECC schools.
- Planning and hosting teacher training seminars and workshops for new and current YBM ECC teachers.
- Carrying out class observations and giving constructive feedback and mentoring teachers at ECC academies upon request.
- Carrying out additional administrative duties related to curriculum development, teacher training, and promotional activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 1 year, preferred more than 2 years of English teaching experience for YBM ECC or similar English schools for children in Korea
Desired Qualifications:
- Extensive familiarity with YBM ECC or young learner’s education curriculum, procedures, and class configuration
- Experience organizing and leading conferences or extended presentations
- Fluency in office software and applications such as Zoom, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and others
- Robust time management and organizational skills
- Korean language ability preferred
