Help Your Child Or Student Write Good Essays With Online Education

If your child is old enough to have a social networking page, such as Twitter or Facebook, then they already knows the benefits of being able to write a good essay. On Twitter, for example, entries are limited to a certain number of characters, not words, meaning writing must be short and succinct, with no fluff. If your child is only old enough for Myspace, they'll still know the basics: keep it short and simple, or KISS. This doesn't prepare them for essay writing, but it gives them an idea of what's involved.

In Schools

Essay writing and algebraic formulas are being taught in primary schools. The theory is that by the time the child gets to middle school, he should be able to write a coherent paper. The reality is that no kid wants to write a dissertation, because he's afraid of comparison with the best writer in class. Most lessons center on structuring sentences, proper spelling and grammar, in addition to style, so children often have no idea how to express what's in their minds.

Then it occurs to a kid that, after school, he's going to be required by employers to write something, whether it's an analysis or the company blog. He figures he'll have it licked after writing term papers, a master's thesis, and position papers for internships. But there the daydream stops, because the child is wondering how he's going to get through this week's essay assignment. 


Based on the A+ADVANCE system, your child will learn how to recognize his audience, what the audience looks at first, how to structure the essay, how to state his thoughts, and how to notate and cite his paper. They'll also learn where the professor will first look to know how to grade the paper, as well as how to check his paper over before submission (it can be any part paper - writing a dissertation introduction, methodology or conclusion etc). This is going to give the child the confidence they'll need to understand why the best writer in class always gets an A, because now they can do it, too.

*A. Analyze the Assignment. An important first step towards confidence for the child will be to gauge his audience to know what they are looking for and how his report will be received.

*A. Analyze the Audience. Gauging his audience will also tell the child how he can make his paper different so his audience will sit up and take notice.

*D. Determine the Structure. The structure of the report will allow the child to better express himself. Sometimes, what he says versus how he says it, is what matters.

*V. Validate the Viewpoint. Strong writing requires backing it up with facts. Substantiating the child's thoughts with research will net him a great paper.

*A. Assemble Structure and Add Style. When the child knows his information, fitting it to the structure, plus putting his own style into the paper, results in organized writing with flair that will capture his audience's attention.

*N. Notation and Citation. Recording your child's sources prevents plagiarism. Copy-and-pasted work can also be detected using software so your child will escape that label.

*C. Conclusions and Introductions. The student will learn where the professor will look first to ascertain what grade the paper will get. Both conclusions and introductions will be strong after taking these lessons.

*E. Edit and Enunciate. Reading back the paper to himself will allow the child to hear the paper through someone else's ears, allowing him to correct something before submission.

Recognizing that a child is going to write a great deal in their lifetime, for educational purposes, employment purposes, and socially, this program is an important step. Learning the techniques that will give the child a solid background from which to work that will carry him through his writing life. Not only will these lessons improve their writing, but it will give them the needed life skills of organization and expression.
