Students: Grade 7 to 9
Type of School: Semi-Private Middle School
Location: Seoul, South Korea (near Junggok Station, Line 7)
Work Schedule: M-F
Contract: 1-year, Hourly wage
Remuneration: 50,000 KRW/ teaching hour (14-20/ week)
Starting Date: March 1st, 2021

Position Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITES:
-Teach respective subject curriculum and supervise students as per teaching schedule and contract.
-Develop lessons, demonstrations, quizzes, and tests using formative and summative assessment methods to ensure student growth.
-Provide a safe school learning environment by way of supervision and support of all students.
-Track student progress utilizing record keeping and reporting methods as instructed.
-Make proficient use of technology for the purposes of communication, grading, instruction, and curriculum development.
-Fulfill responsibilities and duties assigned to teachers as per contract.
-Establish, maintain, and demonstrate effective classroom management.
-Assist department head with any duties and tasks needed to improve curriculum.
-Abide by school operating procedures and policies.
-Assume all other responsibilities identified in the collective bargaining agreement and/or as assigned by the school administration.
Applicant Requirements
Successful applicants MUST:
- be native/fluent English speakers with a high level of proficiency in academic English.
- hold a Bachelor ‘s degree or above from an accredited 4-year university in an English speaking country.
- live in South Korea or be able to move (airfare/moving expenses not provided).
- hold or be in the process of attaining an appropriate work visa (E-2, F-2, F-5, F-6).
*For the science position, a degree in science required.
*Teaching experience, though not strictly required, is an asset.
*An on-site interview and short class demonstration will be required.
