Job Description

KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS) is looking to hire a full-time English Lecturer. The school operates on trimesters allowing the adult engineering students to graduate within two years. The student body is comprised of both local Korean citizens and international adults from throughout Asia, Africa, and Europe.

1. Job Description 
- Position: Full-time English Lecturer (Non-tenure track, Not Assistant Professor) 
- Responsibilities: 
1) Provide lectures on technical writing 
- Total lecture hours: 4/week 
- Office hours (lecture preparation time, students counselling etc.): 6/week 
2) Proofreading student theses and project reports 
- Total hours: 20/week 
3) Other 
- Edit President’s speeches, letters, and other official documents

2. Contract Conditions 
- Contract Period: October 1, 2018 – December 31, 2018(3 months) 
- Annual Salary: 3.2 million won/month 
- Taxation: Monthly salary is paid after the deduction of all applicable taxes, according to Korean Tax Law. 
- Benefits: 
1) Office workspace and a dormitory room on campus will be provided. 
- Allowance is not provided if choosing to live off campus. 
- Kitchenette is included in dormitory room. 
- Monthly maintenance fee for dormitory will be deducted from salary. 
2) Health insurance and pension is included; KINGS will pay employer fees.

3. Qualifications 
- Required: A Master Degree related to English/Education such as English Literature or English Education 
- Preferred: Teaching experience with adult learners

- Step 2: Open Lecture & Editing & Interview [September 19] 
- Deliver a mini-lecture on the subject of writing (20 minutes) 
- Edit one page document (20 minutes) 
- Face-to-face Interview (Phone/Skype interviews will not be permitted) 
* Step 2 schedule is confirmed on September 19. 
- Step 3: Employment

7. Additional Notes 
- Please be mindful of any changes to Korean immigration policy (criminal background check and diploma authentication) and how that might affect your visa status when acquiring new employment. 
- Submitting false information will result in immediate contract termination.
